Used RVs Watauga TX: 400+ Affordable RVs and Trailers

Welcome to RV Depot, the dealership Watauga TX families come to when they want real options instead of a runaround. We keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers on 20 acres in Cleburne, Texas, and we have been doing this since 1990.

If you are searching for used RVs Watauga TX, travel trailers for sale near Watauga, fifth wheels, bunkhouse floorplans or a toy hauler you can actually live in, you can walk the whole lot in one afternoon and compare them side by side. Everything is in one place, the prices are on the units, and our in house financing means your credit history is the start of the conversation instead of the end of it.

Why Watauga Residents Choose RV Depot

Watauga sits about 40 miles from our Cleburne lot, right at 55 minutes up I 35W. That is close enough to come look on a Saturday morning and be home well before dinner.

Watauga is a middle class suburb of about 23,000 people where roughly four out of five households already own their home. This one is for the other one in five, because what rent costs here does not line up with what a house here costs.

Here is the Watauga math, and it is lopsided. Median rent in Watauga is $1,982 a month, while a typical Watauga home costs $250,500. Ten years of that rent is $237,840, which is very nearly the price of the house you are not buying. And the city is 4.16 square miles with no land left, so nothing new is getting built to bring that number down.

An RV gives a family a place of their own with a monthly payment that often lands at or below what a Tarrant County apartment costs, and it belongs to you at the end. We finance in house, so we make the decision ourselves rather than shipping your file to a bank in another state. If somebody has already told you no, that is worth an hour of your Saturday.

Living in Watauga: Ten Miles From Fort Worth

Watauga is one of those Tarrant County suburbs that most people drive through without registering, and the people who live there are fine with that. It is small, it is built out, it is close to everything, and it has a name almost nobody outside North Texas can place.

A Town of Commuters, and It Does Not Pretend Otherwise

Watauga does not really have employers. It has commuters. The whole city is 4.16 square miles of mostly houses, sitting ten miles northwest of Fort Worth on US 377, and people here drive to work somewhere else.

That is not a knock, it is the reason the place exists. Watauga grew because defense plants went up around Fort Worth after World War II and workers needed somewhere affordable to live. The jobs are still spread across Fort Worth, the Alliance corridor and the airport, and Watauga is still where a lot of those paychecks come home to.

Sixty Five People in the 1930s

The Texas and Pacific Railway came through in 1881 and a station went up, which was enough to make Watauga a place. A post office followed in 1883. And then almost nothing happened for fifty years: there were 65 people living here in the 1930s.

What came next was one of the faster suburban explosions in Tarrant County. About 1,012 people by the mid 1960s, 7,050 by 1976, and 20,009 by 1990. It has hovered near 23,000 ever since, because at that point the city ran out of room.

Village of Many Springs

The name came from Cherokee settlements in Tennessee, and the word itself means village of many springs. It is a good name for a small place that quietly filled in while bigger neighbors got the attention.

Living here is easy in the way inner suburbs are easy: everything is fifteen or twenty minutes away, Keller and North Richland Hills are right there, Fort Worth is a straight run down 377, and the airport is close enough to matter if you travel for work. It is not flashy and nobody here seems to want it to be.

Long Term RV Parks Near Watauga, TX

Owning the RV is one half of the plan. Having a spot to park it is the other half, and Watauga itself is 4.16 square miles of houses with no RV park in the city limits, so every option here is a 25 to 40 minute drive. These were open and taking residents when this page was last reviewed. Rates, availability and age restrictions change constantly, so call ahead and confirm monthly pricing, hookups, rig length limits and whether they allow the year the unit was built.

  • The Vineyards Campground and Cabins 1501 N. Dooley St., Grapevine, TX 76051, about 25 minutes east and the closest real option to Watauga. Full hookup pull through sites on Grapevine Lake, gated and patrolled, with a private beach, laundry, a nature trail and a camp store. They take monthly, extended and long term stays, which makes this the surest bet on the list. Operating as of September 2026. (888) 329-8993
  • Cowtown RV Park 7000 E. Interstate 20, Aledo, TX 76008, west of Fort Worth and roughly 40 minutes out. Every site is full hookup with 30 and 50 amp service and cable, plus a pool, three separate laundry and shower buildings, four dog runs and propane on site. They take everything from big rigs to teardrops. Operating as of September 2026. Call for monthly rates. (817) 441-7878
  • Traders Village RV Park 2602 Mayfield Rd., Grand Prairie, TX 75052, about 40 minutes southeast. Full hookups with 50 amp service at every site, free wifi, any length vehicle allowed and big rigs with slide outs are fine. Published rates run $50 a day or $305 a week for a back in, and they do not post a monthly figure, so ask when you call. Operating as of September 2026. (972) 647-8205

Not sure your unit will fit the park you have in mind? Tell us the park and we will help you match a length, hitch type and hookup setup that works. We do this every week.

Financing Built for Hardworking Families

Most dealerships send your application to an outside bank and wait. We do not. RV Depot finances in house, which means we look at your whole situation instead of one number on a report. Steady income, a workable down payment and a plan you can live with carry real weight here. If you have been denied somewhere else, that denial does not follow you through our door.

  • In house financing with all credit situations welcome, including first time buyers with no credit history
  • Approval decisions made by our own team, not an out of state lender
  • Flexible down payment options, and we will tell you honestly what yours needs to be
  • Fast answers, usually the same day you apply
  • Payment structures built around a real budget instead of a best case scenario
  • A path forward for buyers coming off a repossession, a bankruptcy or a rough couple of years

You can start your application online before you drive over, which saves you time once you are here. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping it up at the lot the day you pick your unit. Start your application and we will have an answer ready when you arrive.

400+ Quality Used RVs Under One Roof

Twenty acres, more than 400 units, and one of the largest pre owned RV inventories in Texas. That size is the whole point. You are not looking at three trailers and hoping one fits. You can stand in a dozen floorplans in an hour, compare a bunkhouse against a rear living layout, see what a fifth wheel feels like next to a travel trailer, and figure out what actually suits your family before you sign anything.

Travel TrailersEasy to tow with a half ton truck and the most affordable way into RV ownership. Great first unit.
Fifth WheelsThe most living space of anything we carry, with a raised bedroom and residential feel. Our top pick for full time living.
Bunkhouse FloorplansSeparate sleeping space for the kids. If you are moving a family into an RV, start here.
Toy HaulersA garage that doubles as a workshop, gear storage or an extra room. Popular with trades and anyone hauling equipment.

Every unit on the lot gets looked over by our team before it goes up for sale, and we are straight with you about condition. If a trailer needs something, you will hear it from us first. We would rather sell you the right unit once than the wrong unit today, especially when you are buying a place to live rather than a weekend toy.

Browse our current inventory or call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it. We will narrow 400 units down to the handful worth your drive from Watauga.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get straightforward answers about visiting RV Depot from Watauga, applying for financing, comparing housing costs, and choosing an RV that fits your family.

Does RV Depot have a dealership in Watauga?

No. We have one location, 4319 N. Main St. in Cleburne, Texas, and we serve Watauga buyers from there. Everything sits on one 20 acre lot, which is the whole reason the drive is worth making once instead of shopping three small lots near home.

Why would I drive from Watauga to RV Depot?

Two reasons. Selection, because we keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers in one place, and financing, because we finance in house and make the decision ourselves. If an outside lender has already turned you down, that second reason is usually the one that matters.

Can I apply before coming from Watauga?

Yes, and you should. Start the application online and we can tell you roughly where you stand before you spend a day driving. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping up at the lot the day you choose your unit.

Can RV Depot help if my credit is not strong?

That is most of who we work with. Because we finance in house, we look at your income, your down payment and your whole situation rather than one number on a report. Past credit trouble does not end the conversation here.

How much down payment will I need?

It depends on the unit and on your situation, so there is no single number we can post honestly. Call us with your budget and the kind of unit you are after and we will tell you what yours looks like before you make the drive.

What income does RV Depot consider?

Steady income you can document is what matters most. Bring paperwork for all of your household income and we will tell you what counts toward your application. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask us on the phone rather than guessing.

Can my family live comfortably in an RV?

Plenty of families do it, and the floorplan is what decides whether it works. Bunkhouse models give the kids their own sleeping space, and fifth wheels give you the most living area of anything we carry. Tell us how many people need to sleep in it and we will point you at the layouts that actually hold up day to day.

Should I improve my credit before applying?

You do not have to wait on us to find out. Because the financing is ours, you can apply now, hear exactly where you stand, and then decide for yourself whether waiting buys you anything. Plenty of people are further along than they assume.

What documents should I bring?

Proof of income, a valid photo ID, and a realistic idea of your down payment and the monthly number you can carry. That is enough to get a real answer the same day.

Can I see current RV prices before visiting?

Yes. Our inventory is online with prices on the units, so you can narrow things down from Watauga before you drive anywhere. Call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it, and we will shortlist the handful worth the trip.
