Used RVs Spring TX: 400+ Affordable RVs and Trailers

Welcome to RV Depot, the dealership Spring TX families come to when they want real options instead of a runaround. We keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers on 20 acres in Cleburne, Texas, and we have been doing this since 1990.

If you are searching for used RVs Spring TX, travel trailers for sale near Spring, fifth wheels, bunkhouse floorplans or a toy hauler you can actually live in, you can walk the whole lot in one afternoon and compare them side by side. Everything is in one place, the prices are on the units, and our in house financing means your credit history is the start of the conversation instead of the end of it.

Why Spring Residents Choose RV Depot

Spring is about 236 miles from our Cleburne lot, roughly four and a quarter hours by way of US 287 and I 45. That is a real drive rather than an errand, so most families make a day of it and head home the same evening.

There is a certain symmetry to the trip: the International and Great Northern Railroad connected Spring to Fort Worth back in 1901, and people have been running that corridor ever since. With about 62,000 residents in unincorporated Harris County and an economy built on energy, healthcare, schools and freight, Spring is full of working families who earn a steady paycheck and still get turned down by traditional lenders. That is exactly who we built this dealership for.

Here is the Spring math, and it is stark. Median rent in Spring is $1,711 a month. Ten years of that is $205,320 handed to a landlord, which is inside shouting distance of the $231,500 a typical Spring home costs. Meanwhile a full hookup site at Rayford Crossing, right there on I 45, starts around $660 a month. The space between $1,711 and $660 is exactly where an RV payment fits, and when you are done paying it the RV is yours.

The reason people make the drive is simple. Rent in Harris County keeps climbing and the math stopped working a while ago. An RV gives a family a place of their own with a monthly payment that often lands at or below what a local apartment costs, and it belongs to you at the end. We finance in house, so we make the decision ourselves. No bank in another state deciding what your family is worth.

Living in Spring: A Railroad Town With No City Hall

Spring sits twenty miles north of Houston off I 45, and it has never bothered to incorporate. What it has instead is a hundred and eighty years of history, a rail line that once ran straight to Fort Worth, a restored old town full of shops, and a pine belt that starts right about here and does not stop. It is one of the few places in the Houston orbit that still feels like a town rather than a development.

Energy Money and the I 45 Corridor

ExxonMobil put its global headquarters campus just south of Spring off I 45, 385 acres that opened in 2014 and were built to hold more than 10,000 people. That single campus reset the whole north corridor, and the contractors, maintenance crews, drivers and trades who keep a place that size running all had to live somewhere.

Spring Independent School District covers about 75,000 residents and is a major employer in its own right, and the hospitals and freight operations along I 45 hire constantly. It is a stretch of Harris County where a welder, a driver, an electrician or a facilities tech can find steady work without a four year degree.

A Trading Post, Then Fourteen Trackyards

William Pierpont set up a trading post on Spring Creek in 1838, and there were 153 people here by 1840. German families like the Wunsches arrived in the mid 1840s and farmed sugar cane and cotton. Then the railroad came: the Houston and Great Northern in 1871, and between 1901 and 1903 the International and Great Northern line that tied Spring to Fort Worth.

At its peak Spring was a major switchyard with fourteen trackyards and 200 rail workers. When the roundhouse moved to Houston in 1923, the town collapsed to about 300 people by 1931 and stayed small until the suburbs found it in the 1970s. Sixty two thousand people now live in a place that was nearly a ghost town within living memory.

Old Town Spring, and No City Hall

Spring is still unincorporated, which is unusual for a place this size. There is no city government, just Harris County, and it gives the area a different feel than the master planned cities around it. The old railroad neighborhood became Old Town Spring after residents organized in 1980 to save the historic houses instead of losing them, and by 1989 it held more than eighty shops.

It is a genuinely good Saturday: the shops, the creek, and the pines that start here and run north. Twenty miles of I 45 gets you into Houston when you want it, and you do not have to live in it.

Long Term RV Parks Near Spring, TX

Owning the RV is one half of the plan. Having a spot to park it is the other half, so here are long term and monthly friendly parks in the Spring area that were open and taking residents when this page was last reviewed. Rates, availability and age restrictions change constantly, so call ahead and confirm monthly pricing, hookups, rig length limits and whether they allow the year the unit was built.

  • Rayford Crossing RV Resort On I 45 at Rayford Road, Spring, right between town and The Woodlands. Monthly stays start around $660 with all concrete full hookup sites, 30 and 50 amp service, gig speed fiber, a pool and hot tub, fitness room, dog park, catch and release pond, laundry and a clubhouse with on site management. They take Class A coaches, fifth wheels and Class C units and post no age or length limit. This is the most solid long term option in Spring and the only one on this list publishing a monthly rate. Ask about their extended stay discount when you call. (281) 298-8008
  • Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA Holiday 19785 Highway 105 W., Montgomery, TX 77356, about 35 minutes northwest of Spring. Open year round with 30 and 50 amp full hookups on concrete pads, room for rigs up to 80 feet, a heated pool and hot tub and fishing lakes on site. Big rig friendly and they offer extended stays. Worth the extra drive if you want water out the door. (936) 582-1200

Not sure your unit will fit the park you have in mind? Tell us the park and we will help you match a length, hitch type and hookup setup that works. We do this every week.

Financing Built for Hardworking Families

Most dealerships send your application to an outside bank and wait. We do not. RV Depot finances in house, which means we look at your whole situation instead of one number on a report. Steady income, a workable down payment and a plan you can live with carry real weight here. If you have been denied somewhere else, that denial does not follow you through our door.

  • In house financing with all credit situations welcome, including first time buyers with no credit history
  • Approval decisions made by our own team, not an out of state lender
  • Flexible down payment options, and we will tell you honestly what yours needs to be
  • Fast answers, usually the same day you apply
  • Payment structures built around a real budget instead of a best case scenario
  • A path forward for buyers coming off a repossession, a bankruptcy or a rough couple of years

You can start your application online before you drive over, which saves you time once you are here. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping it up at the lot the day you pick your unit. Start your application and we will have an answer ready when you arrive.

400+ Quality Used RVs Under One Roof

Twenty acres, more than 400 units, and one of the largest pre owned RV inventories in Texas. That size is the whole point. You are not looking at three trailers and hoping one fits. You can stand in a dozen floorplans in an hour, compare a bunkhouse against a rear living layout, see what a fifth wheel feels like next to a travel trailer, and figure out what actually suits your family before you sign anything.

Travel TrailersEasy to tow with a half ton truck and the most affordable way into RV ownership. Great first unit.
Fifth WheelsThe most living space of anything we carry, with a raised bedroom and residential feel. Our top pick for full time living.
Bunkhouse FloorplansSeparate sleeping space for the kids. If you are moving a family into an RV, start here.
Toy HaulersA garage that doubles as a workshop, gear storage or an extra room. Popular with trades and anyone hauling equipment.

Every unit on the lot gets looked over by our team before it goes up for sale, and we are straight with you about condition. If a trailer needs something, you will hear it from us first. We would rather sell you the right unit once than the wrong unit today, especially when you are buying a place to live rather than a weekend toy.

Browse our current inventory or call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it. We will narrow 400 units down to the handful worth your drive from Spring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get straightforward answers about visiting RV Depot from Spring, applying for financing, comparing housing costs, and choosing an RV that fits your family.

Does RV Depot have a dealership in Spring?

No. We have one location, 4319 N. Main St. in Cleburne, Texas, and we serve Spring buyers from there. Everything sits on one 20 acre lot, which is the whole reason the drive is worth making once instead of shopping three small lots near home.

Why would I drive from Spring to RV Depot?

Two reasons. Selection, because we keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers in one place, and financing, because we finance in house and make the decision ourselves. If an outside lender has already turned you down, that second reason is usually the one that matters.

Can I apply before coming from Spring?

Yes, and you should. Start the application online and we can tell you roughly where you stand before you spend a day driving. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping up at the lot the day you choose your unit.

Can RV Depot help if my credit is not strong?

That is most of who we work with. Because we finance in house, we look at your income, your down payment and your whole situation rather than one number on a report. Past credit trouble does not end the conversation here.

How much down payment will I need?

It depends on the unit and on your situation, so there is no single number we can post honestly. Call us with your budget and the kind of unit you are after and we will tell you what yours looks like before you make the drive.

What income does RV Depot consider?

Steady income you can document is what matters most. Bring paperwork for all of your household income and we will tell you what counts toward your application. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask us on the phone rather than guessing.

Can my family live comfortably in an RV?

Plenty of families do it, and the floorplan is what decides whether it works. Bunkhouse models give the kids their own sleeping space, and fifth wheels give you the most living area of anything we carry. Tell us how many people need to sleep in it and we will point you at the layouts that actually hold up day to day.

Should I improve my credit before applying?

You do not have to wait on us to find out. Because the financing is ours, you can apply now, hear exactly where you stand, and then decide for yourself whether waiting buys you anything. Plenty of people are further along than they assume.

What documents should I bring?

Proof of income, a valid photo ID, and a realistic idea of your down payment and the monthly number you can carry. That is enough to get a real answer the same day.

Can I see current RV prices before visiting?

Yes. Our inventory is online with prices on the units, so you can narrow things down from Spring before you drive anywhere. Call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it, and we will shortlist the handful worth the trip.
