Used RVs Tyler TX: 400+ Affordable RVs and Trailers
Welcome to RV Depot, the dealership Tyler TX families come to when they want real options instead of a runaround. We keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers on 20 acres in Cleburne, Texas, and we have been doing this since 1990.
If you are searching for used RVs Tyler TX, travel trailers for sale near Tyler, fifth wheels, bunkhouse floorplans or a toy hauler you can actually live in, you can walk the whole lot in one afternoon and compare them side by side. Everything is in one place, the prices are on the units, and our in house financing means your credit history is the start of the conversation instead of the end of it.
Why Tyler Residents Choose RV Depot
Tyler sits about 141 miles from our Cleburne lot, about two and a half hours up I 20, which makes a Saturday trip easy to pull off and still be home for dinner. With about 114,000 residents and an economy built on distribution, manufacturing, healthcare and education, Tyler is full of working families who earn a steady paycheck and still get turned down by traditional lenders. That is exactly who we built this dealership for.
Here is the Tyler math. Close to 45 percent of Tyler households rent rather than own, median rent runs $1,252 a month, and the city has added more than 7,000 people since 2020. Growth like that never leaves rents where it found them. Ten years at $1,252 is $150,240 gone, against a typical Tyler home at $235,300. That gap is the wall working families keep hitting. A payment in the same neighborhood on a used fifth wheel puts your name on a title instead.
The reason people make the drive is simple. Rent in Smith County keeps climbing and the math stopped working a while ago. An RV gives a family a place of their own with a monthly payment that often lands at or below what a local apartment costs, and it belongs to you at the end. We finance in house, so we make the decision ourselves. No bank in another state deciding what your family is worth.

Living in Tyler: The Rose Capital of America
Tyler got its name honestly. A peach blight wiped out the orchards in the late 1800s, the farmers switched to roses, and by the 1940s more than half of every rose bush sold in the United States was grown within ten miles of this town. That is not a slogan somebody bought, it is what actually happened here.
Groceries, Freight and a Manufacturing Habit
Brookshire Grocery Company has been headquartered in Tyler since Wood T. Brookshire opened the first store on September 1, 1928. It now runs more than 200 stores and employs over 19,000 people, and the headquarters, the distribution and the trucking all still run out of Tyler.
Manufacturing is the other half of it. By the 1960s Tyler had 125 plants employing 8,000 workers, everything from aluminum foundries to tire factories to machinery, and the town never lost the habit. Add three colleges and the freight moving on I 20, and a welder, a driver, a machine operator or a warehouse hand can find work here.
Named for a President, Made Rich by Oil
Tyler became the seat of Smith County on April 11, 1846, named for President John Tyler because he backed Texas annexation. For its first eighty years it was a farm town. Then in 1930 somebody found the East Texas oilfield.
The population went from under 20,000 in 1930 to 28,279 by 1940, and between 1931 and 1973 more than 167 million barrels came out of the ground. That money built a lot of what is still standing downtown, and it is the reason a farm town ended up with three colleges and a symphony.
Roses, the Piney Woods and Lake Palestine
Tyler is in the Piney Woods, which is a genuinely different Texas than the one most people picture. Tall trees, real seasons, and water close by at Lake Palestine southwest of town. The rose garden downtown is free and worth an hour.
Every October the Texas Rose Festival takes over the city, and it has been doing that since the rose growers got organized generations ago. If you are moving a family into an RV, East Texas makes it easier than West Texas does. The shade alone is worth something in August.
Long Term RV Parks Near Tyler, TX
Owning the RV is one half of the plan. Having a spot to park it is the other half, so here are long term and monthly friendly parks in the Tyler area that were open and taking residents when this page was last reviewed. Rates, availability and age restrictions change constantly, so call ahead and confirm monthly pricing, hookups, rig length limits and whether they allow the year the unit was built.

- Piney Ridge RV Estates 20250 Highway 69 South, Tyler, TX 75703, just down the road from Woodland Creek on the south side. Listed with the Tyler Area Chamber and operating as of September 2026. Financing Built for Hardworking Families
Most dealerships send your application to an outside bank and wait. We do not. RV Depot finances in house, which means we look at your whole situation instead of one number on a report. Steady income, a workable down payment and a plan you can live with carry real weight here. If you have been denied somewhere else, that denial does not follow you through our door.
- In house financing with all credit situations welcome, including first time buyers with no credit history
- Approval decisions made by our own team, not an out of state lender
- Flexible down payment options, and we will tell you honestly what yours needs to be
- Fast answers, usually the same day you apply
- Payment structures built around a real budget instead of a best case scenario
- A path forward for buyers coming off a repossession, a bankruptcy or a rough couple of years
You can start your application online before you drive over, which saves you time once you are here. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping it up at the lot the day you pick your unit. Start your application and we will have an answer ready when you arrive.
400+ Quality Used RVs Under One Roof
Twenty acres, more than 400 units, and one of the largest pre owned RV inventories in Texas. That size is the whole point. You are not looking at three trailers and hoping one fits. You can stand in a dozen floorplans in an hour, compare a bunkhouse against a rear living layout, see what a fifth wheel feels like next to a travel trailer, and figure out what actually suits your family before you sign anything.
Every unit on the lot gets looked over by our team before it goes up for sale, and we are straight with you about condition. If a trailer needs something, you will hear it from us first. We would rather sell you the right unit once than the wrong unit today, especially when you are buying a place to live rather than a weekend toy.
Browse our current inventory or call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it. We will narrow 400 units down to the handful worth your drive from Tyler.
Frequently Asked Questions
Get straightforward answers about visiting RV Depot from Tyler, applying for financing, comparing housing costs, and choosing an RV that fits your family.
Does RV Depot have a dealership in Tyler?
No. We have one location, 4319 N. Main St. in Cleburne, Texas, and we serve Tyler buyers from there. Everything sits on one 20 acre lot, which is the whole reason the drive is worth making once instead of shopping three small lots near home.
Why would I drive from Tyler to RV Depot?
Two reasons. Selection, because we keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers in one place, and financing, because we finance in house and make the decision ourselves. If an outside lender has already turned you down, that second reason is usually the one that matters.
Can I apply before coming from Tyler?
Yes, and you should. Start the application online and we can tell you roughly where you stand before you spend a day driving. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping up at the lot the day you choose your unit.
Can RV Depot help if my credit is not strong?
That is most of who we work with. Because we finance in house, we look at your income, your down payment and your whole situation rather than one number on a report. Past credit trouble does not end the conversation here.
How much down payment will I need?
It depends on the unit and on your situation, so there is no single number we can post honestly. Call us with your budget and the kind of unit you are after and we will tell you what yours looks like before you make the drive.
What income does RV Depot consider?
Steady income you can document is what matters most. Bring paperwork for all of your household income and we will tell you what counts toward your application. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask us on the phone rather than guessing.
Can my family live comfortably in an RV?
Plenty of families do it, and the floorplan is what decides whether it works. Bunkhouse models give the kids their own sleeping space, and fifth wheels give you the most living area of anything we carry. Tell us how many people need to sleep in it and we will point you at the layouts that actually hold up day to day.
Should I improve my credit before applying?
You do not have to wait on us to find out. Because the financing is ours, you can apply now, hear exactly where you stand, and then decide for yourself whether waiting buys you anything. Plenty of people are further along than they assume.
What documents should I bring?
Proof of income, a valid photo ID, and a realistic idea of your down payment and the monthly number you can carry. That is enough to get a real answer the same day.
Can I see current RV prices before visiting?
Yes. Our inventory is online with prices on the units, so you can narrow things down from Tyler before you drive anywhere. Call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it, and we will shortlist the handful worth the trip.
Ready to Make the Drive From Tyler?
Call first so we can pull units that match what you need, then come walk the lot. Most families from Tyler knock out the whole visit in one afternoon.
