Used RVs San Antonio TX: 400+ Affordable RVs and Trailers

Welcome to RV Depot, the dealership San Antonio TX families come to when they want real options instead of a runaround. We keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers on 20 acres in Cleburne, Texas, and we have been doing this since 1990. If you are searching for used RVs San Antonio TX, travel trailers for sale near San Antonio, fifth wheels, bunkhouse floorplans or a toy hauler you can actually live in, you can walk the whole lot in one afternoon and compare them side by side. Everything is in one place, the prices are on the units, and our in house financing means your credit history is the start of the conversation instead of the end of it.

Why San Antonio Residents Choose RV Depot

San Antonio is about 245 miles from our Cleburne lot, a straight shot up I 35, roughly four and a half hours. That is a real drive rather than a Saturday errand, so most families make a day of it: leave early, walk the lot, and head home the same evening. You are also buying in your own state, so there is no out of state paperwork to sort out afterward. With about 1.5 million residents and an economy built on the military, healthcare, manufacturing and hospitality, San Antonio is full of working families who earn a steady paycheck and still get turned down by traditional lenders. That is exactly who we built this dealership for.

Here is the San Antonio math. Median rent in the city runs about $1,324 a month, and just under half of San Antonio households rent rather than own. A typical home now costs around $235,700 against a median household income of $65,056, and that gap is the wall a lot of hourly families keep hitting. Rent climbs at every renewal and buys you nothing you keep. A payment in the same neighborhood on a used fifth wheel puts your name on a title instead.

The reason people make the drive is simple. Rent in Bexar County keeps climbing and the math stopped working a while ago. An RV gives a family a place of their own with a monthly payment that often lands at or below what a local apartment costs, and it belongs to you at the end. We finance in house, so we make the decision ourselves. No bank in another state deciding what your family is worth.

Living in San Antonio: Military City USA

San Antonio trademarked the name Military City USA in 2017, and it had the receipts. Fort Sam Houston has been here since 1890, Lackland and Randolph followed, and generations of families have rotated through and then simply stayed. What that leaves is the second biggest city in Texas that still feels like a place people are from rather than a place people moved to, with a cost of living that has not run off the way Austin and Dallas have.

Real Jobs, and the Kind You Can Get Hired For

Start with the obvious one. The military anchors this economy, and it is not just people in uniform: Fort Sam Houston, Lackland and Randolph all run on civilian mechanics, logistics staff, food service, facilities crews and contractors. Then there is Toyota, which builds the Tundra and the Tacoma on the south side with around 2,600 team members, and it was the first Toyota plant in the country to put its suppliers on the same grounds, which means thousands more jobs on top of that. H-E-B is headquartered here. So are USAA and Valero. Methodist Healthcare and the hospital district hire constantly. It adds up to a metro where a welder, a driver, a line worker or a maintenance tech can find steady work without a four year degree.

Older Than Texas Itself

San Antonio started in 1718, when a Franciscan named Antonio de San Buenaventura y Olivares founded the San Antonio de Valero mission on May 1 and the presidio went up four days later. That mission is the Alamo. Texas bought the building in 1883, the first time anywhere west of the Mississippi that a structure was purchased purely to preserve it. Four more Franciscan missions went up along the river, and in 2015 all five plus the Alamo were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are older buildings here than in most of the country, and people still use them.

The River Walk, Fiesta and the Hill Country

An architect named Robert Hugman sketched the River Walk in 1929 after the 1921 flood forced the city to rethink the river, and it opened in 1941. It is still the best free afternoon downtown. Fiesta traces back to the first Battle of Flowers Parade in 1891 and now takes over the city every April. Add Spurs basketball, the Salado Creek and Leon Creek greenways, and the Hill Country starting about half an hour northwest, and there is a lot to do here that does not require a vacation budget. That matters when you are putting your money toward a place of your own instead.

Long Term RV Parks Near San Antonio, TX

Owning the RV is one half of the plan. Having a spot to park it is the other half, so here are long term and monthly friendly parks in the San Antonio area that were open and taking residents when this page was last reviewed. Rates, availability and age restrictions change constantly, so call ahead and confirm monthly pricing, hookups, rig length limits and whether they allow the year the unit was built.

  • Traveler’s World RV Community 2617 Roosevelt Ave., San Antonio, TX 78214, about three miles from the Alamo and the River Walk. Full hookups with 20, 30 and 50 amp service, sites up to 45 feet, heated pool, laundry, mail center and a real community feel. They do monthly stays and 12 month leases, so this is the surest long term option on the list. One thing to know up front: units 10 years and older need a manager inspection before they let you in, so tell us the year of the unit you are looking at and we will make sure it clears. (210) 532-8310
  • Stone Creek RV Park 18905 IH 35 N, Schertz, TX 78154, northeast side and handy to Randolph. They advertise monthly rates outright for guests staying weeks or months, with full hookup extended stay sites, two pools, laundry, a clubhouse and pull throughs. Sits right on I 35, which is the same road you would take home from our lot. Operating as of September 2026. Call for current monthly pricing. (830) 609-7759
  • San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday 602 Gembler Rd., San Antonio, TX 78219, five miles from downtown on 40 gated acres along the Salado Creek Greenway. About 300 sites, 50 amp full hookups, rigs up to 90 feet, extended stays available and open all year. Good middle option if you want something established with a trail out the back door. (210) 224-9296

Not sure your unit will fit the park you have in mind? Tell us the park and we will help you match a length, hitch type and hookup setup that works. We do this every week.

Financing Built for Hardworking Families

Most dealerships send your application to an outside bank and wait. We do not. RV Depot finances in house, which means we look at your whole situation instead of one number on a report. Steady income, a workable down payment and a plan you can live with carry real weight here. If you have been denied somewhere else, that denial does not follow you through our door.

  • In house financing with all credit situations welcome, including first time buyers with no credit history
  • Approval decisions made by our own team, not an out of state lender
  • Flexible down payment options, and we will tell you honestly what yours needs to be
  • Fast answers, usually the same day you apply
  • Payment structures built around a real budget instead of a best case scenario
  • A path forward for buyers coming off a repossession, a bankruptcy or a rough couple of years

You can start your application online before you drive over, which saves you time once you are here. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping it up at the lot the day you pick your unit. Start your application and we will have an answer ready when you arrive.

400+ Quality Used RVs Under One Roof

Twenty acres, more than 400 units, and one of the largest pre owned RV inventories in Texas. That size is the whole point. You are not looking at three trailers and hoping one fits. You can stand in a dozen floorplans in an hour, compare a bunkhouse against a rear living layout, see what a fifth wheel feels like next to a travel trailer, and figure out what actually suits your family before you sign anything.

Travel TrailersEasy to tow with a half ton truck and the most affordable way into RV ownership. Great first unit.
Fifth WheelsThe most living space of anything we carry, with a raised bedroom and residential feel. Our top pick for full time living.
Bunkhouse FloorplansSeparate sleeping space for the kids. If you are moving a family into an RV, start here.
Toy HaulersA garage that doubles as a workshop, gear storage or an extra room. Popular with trades and anyone hauling equipment.

Every unit on the lot gets looked over by our team before it goes up for sale, and we are straight with you about condition. If a trailer needs something, you will hear it from us first. We would rather sell you the right unit once than the wrong unit today, especially when you are buying a place to live rather than a weekend toy.

Browse our current inventory or call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it. We will narrow 400 units down to the handful worth your drive from San Antonio.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get straightforward answers about visiting RV Depot from San Antonio, applying for financing, comparing housing costs, and choosing an RV that fits your family.

Does RV Depot have a dealership in San Antonio?

No. We have one location, 4319 N. Main St. in Cleburne, Texas, and we serve San Antonio buyers from there. Everything sits on one 20 acre lot, which is the whole reason the drive is worth making once instead of shopping three small lots near home.

Why would I drive from San Antonio to RV Depot?

Two reasons. Selection, because we keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers in one place, and financing, because we finance in house and make the decision ourselves. If an outside lender has already turned you down, that second reason is usually the one that matters.

Can I apply before coming from San Antonio?

Yes, and you should. Start the application online and we can tell you roughly where you stand before you spend a day driving. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping up at the lot the day you choose your unit.

Can RV Depot help if my credit is not strong?

That is most of who we work with. Because we finance in house, we look at your income, your down payment and your whole situation rather than one number on a report. Past credit trouble does not end the conversation here.

How much down payment will I need?

It depends on the unit and on your situation, so there is no single number we can post honestly. Call us with your budget and the kind of unit you are after and we will tell you what yours looks like before you make the drive.

What income does RV Depot consider?

Steady income you can document is what matters most. Bring paperwork for all of your household income and we will tell you what counts toward your application. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask us on the phone rather than guessing.

Can my family live comfortably in an RV?

Plenty of families do it, and the floorplan is what decides whether it works. Bunkhouse models give the kids their own sleeping space, and fifth wheels give you the most living area of anything we carry. Tell us how many people need to sleep in it and we will point you at the layouts that actually hold up day to day.

Should I improve my credit before applying?

You do not have to wait on us to find out. Because the financing is ours, you can apply now, hear exactly where you stand, and then decide for yourself whether waiting buys you anything. Plenty of people are further along than they assume.

What documents should I bring?

Proof of income, a valid photo ID, and a realistic idea of your down payment and the monthly number you can carry. That is enough to get a real answer the same day.

Can I see current RV prices before visiting?

Yes. Our inventory is online with prices on the units, so you can narrow things down from San Antonio before you drive anywhere. Call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it, and we will shortlist the handful worth the trip.
