Used RVs Southlake TX: 400+ Affordable RVs and Trailers
Welcome to RV Depot. We keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers on 20 acres in Cleburne, Texas, about an hour southwest of Southlake, and we have been doing this since 1990. If you are searching for used RVs Southlake TX, travel trailers for sale near Southlake, fifth wheels, bunkhouse floorplans or a toy hauler for the lake and the trailhead, the reason to come here is the selection. You can walk the whole lot in one afternoon, stand in a dozen floorplans, and see the price on every unit. No appointment, no franchise markup, no pressure.
Why Southlake Residents Choose RV Depot
Southlake is about 49 miles from our Cleburne lot, roughly an hour and ten minutes up I 35W, which makes this a morning trip rather than an expedition. With about 31,000 residents, DFW Airport less than ten minutes out and Grapevine Lake sitting on the north edge of town, Southlake is full of families who already have somewhere to take an RV. What is not nearby is a lot with 400 of them parked on it.
Here is the honest case for buying used. A new trailer takes the steepest part of its depreciation in the first two or three years, and on most of what sits on our lot somebody else already paid that. Which means the same money buys you a bigger unit, a better floorplan, or both. With more than 400 units in one place you can compare them against each other instead of guessing from a brochure, and you can see what fifteen years of Texas summers actually does to a roof before you sign anything.
The other reason people make the drive is that we are not a franchise store working from a brochure. Every unit is already here, already priced, and open to walk through today. Tell us how you plan to use it, how many people need to sleep in it and what you are towing with, and we will cut 400 units down to the handful worth your time.
Getting to RV Depot From Southlake, Texas
RV Depot, 4319 N. Main St., Cleburne, TX 76033. about 49 miles from Southlake, about an hour and ten minutes of driving. Call (817) 678-5133 before you head out and we will have units picked out and ready to walk.
Living in Southlake: Grapevine Lake and the 114 Corridor
Southlake is one of the wealthiest towns in Texas, and we are not going to write you a page pretending we do not know that. What we will say is that a lot of the RVs on our lot end up in driveways and storage yards in towns exactly like this one, because a used trailer bought right is a smarter way to get on the water than a new one bought fast.
A White Collar Town on the 114 Corridor
Southlake’s employer list looks nothing like most of the towns we write about, and there is no point pretending otherwise. Sabre Corporation runs its headquarters here. Charles Schwab and Verizon both have operations in town. Methodist Southlake Hospital and Texas Health Resources cover the medical side. All of that sits on roughly 3.1 million square feet of office space and 4 million square feet of retail along the Highway 114 corridor, with DFW International Airport less than ten minutes from most driveways. Sixty nine percent of adults here hold a bachelor’s degree or better, and Bloomberg put Southlake on its list of America’s 50 richest towns in 2020.
Farmland to the 50 Richest Towns in Forty Years
None of this is old money. Southlake was a scattered rural community that only bothered to incorporate in the 1960s, with about 1,250 people in 1966 and 2,031 by 1970. It had 2,808 residents in 1980. Then the metroplex arrived: 7,065 by 1990, 21,519 by 2000, which made it the third largest community in Tarrant County behind Fort Worth and Arlington, and about 31,000 today. Two generations ago this was pasture with a few manufacturers making engines and concrete products. That is a remarkable forty years.
The Lake Is the Whole Point
Grapevine Lake sits along the north side of town, which is where the name came from, and it is the reason an RV makes sense for a family here. Between the lake, the marinas and the parks around the shoreline, you can be on the water in ten minutes and camping in fifteen. Southlake Town Square handles everything else, and Carroll ISD football fills Friday nights the way it does everywhere in Texas worth living in. If you are buying a travel trailer or a toy hauler, you already know where the first trip is going.
Long Term RV Parks Near Southlake, TX
Owning the RV is one half of the plan. Having a spot to park it is the other half, so here are long term and monthly friendly parks in the Southlake area that were open and taking residents when this page was last reviewed. Rates, availability and age restrictions change constantly, so call ahead and confirm monthly pricing, hookups, rig length limits and whether they allow the year the unit was built.
- The Vineyards Campground and Cabins 1501 N. Dooley St., Grapevine, TX 76051, roughly ten minutes from Southlake and right on the water. Full hookup pull through sites, a private sandy beach, fishing and kayaking, a nature trail, laundry and a camp store. This is the closest place to Southlake to actually put a trailer, and the reason a lot of people here buy one in the first place. Operating as of September 2026. Monthly pricing is not published, so call and ask what they allow for extended stays. (888) 329-8993
- Cowtown RV Park 7000 E. Interstate 20, Aledo, TX 76008, west of Fort Worth and about 45 minutes from Southlake. Every site is full hookup with 30 and 50 amp service and cable. Sits directly on I 20, which makes it an easy first stop if you are storing the unit outside the city. Operating as of September 2026. Call for current monthly rates. (817) 441-7878
Not sure your unit will fit the park you have in mind? Tell us the park and we will help you match a length, hitch type and hookup setup that works. We do this every week.
Financing, If You Want It
A good number of people who come to us from Southlake pay cash or bring their own bank, and that is completely fine by us. If you would rather finance, we do it in house. That means the decision gets made here by our own team instead of being sent to an outside lender and waited on, and answers are usually same day.
You can start your application online before you drive over, which saves time once you are here. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping it up at the lot the day you pick your unit. Start your application if you want a number in hand before the trip.
400+ Quality Used RVs Under One Roof
Twenty acres, more than 400 units, and one of the largest pre owned RV inventories in Texas. That size is the whole point. You are not looking at three trailers and hoping one fits. You can stand in a dozen floorplans in an hour, compare a bunkhouse against a rear living layout, see what a fifth wheel feels like next to a travel trailer, and figure out what actually suits your family before you sign anything.
Every unit on the lot gets looked over by our team before it goes up for sale, and we are straight with you about condition. If a trailer needs something, you will hear it from us first. We would rather sell you the right unit once than the wrong unit today, especially when you are buying a place to live rather than a weekend toy.
Browse our current inventory or call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it. We will narrow 400 units down to the handful worth your drive from Southlake.
Frequently Asked Questions
Get straightforward answers about visiting RV Depot from Southlake, applying for financing, comparing housing costs, and choosing an RV that fits your family.
Does RV Depot have a dealership in Southlake?
No. We have one location, 4319 N. Main St. in Cleburne, Texas, and we serve Southlake buyers from there. Everything sits on one 20 acre lot, which is the whole reason the drive is worth making once instead of shopping three small lots near home.
Why would I drive from Southlake to RV Depot?
Two reasons. Selection, because we keep more than 400 used RVs and travel trailers in one place, and financing, because we finance in house and make the decision ourselves. If an outside lender has already turned you down, that second reason is usually the one that matters.
Can I apply before coming from Southlake?
Yes, and you should. Start the application online and we can tell you roughly where you stand before you spend a day driving. Paperwork is finished in person at the dealership, so plan on wrapping up at the lot the day you choose your unit.
Can RV Depot help if my credit is not strong?
That is most of who we work with. Because we finance in house, we look at your income, your down payment and your whole situation rather than one number on a report. Past credit trouble does not end the conversation here.
How much down payment will I need?
It depends on the unit and on your situation, so there is no single number we can post honestly. Call us with your budget and the kind of unit you are after and we will tell you what yours looks like before you make the drive.
What income does RV Depot consider?
Steady income you can document is what matters most. Bring paperwork for all of your household income and we will tell you what counts toward your application. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask us on the phone rather than guessing.
Can my family live comfortably in an RV?
Plenty of families do it, and the floorplan is what decides whether it works. Bunkhouse models give the kids their own sleeping space, and fifth wheels give you the most living area of anything we carry. Tell us how many people need to sleep in it and we will point you at the layouts that actually hold up day to day.
Should I improve my credit before applying?
You do not have to wait on us to find out. Because the financing is ours, you can apply now, hear exactly where you stand, and then decide for yourself whether waiting buys you anything. Plenty of people are further along than they assume.
What documents should I bring?
Proof of income, a valid photo ID, and a realistic idea of your down payment and the monthly number you can carry. That is enough to get a real answer the same day.
Can I see current RV prices before visiting?
Yes. Our inventory is online with prices on the units, so you can narrow things down from Southlake before you drive anywhere. Call and tell us your budget, your tow vehicle and how many people need to sleep in it, and we will shortlist the handful worth the trip.
Ready to Make the Drive From Southlake?
Call first so we can pull units that match what you need, then come walk the lot. Most families from Southlake knock out the whole visit in one afternoon.
